Vintage Couture Inc. - Kids Clothing

Have I ever told you that in addition to planning parties, I am very passionate about kids clothing? Well, I am! I LOVE shopping for my 2 girls! Anywhere - Nordstroms to Target - I love it all! And I am also totally addicted to Zulily. Don't tell by husband but according to my Zulily closet I have bought 91 items since last summer! YIKES. I told you it was an addiction!!

Last summer I found a gorgeous dress from a company called Vintage Couture. I wound up contacting a rep from Tennessee who was SO nice! I wound up not buying the dress but I thought about it often. She kept in touch and after speaking with her about year later, I actually decided to become a Fashion Stylist with Vintage Couture! I started in September 2011 and have held out on sharing it with you guys until now.

What exactly is Vintage Couture?

Vintage Couture is a childrens designer clothing company with apparel and gifts for infants, girls, boys and even Mom. In early 2010, we shifted our business model from retail stores to direct-to-the consumer. Our custom-made fabrics and exclusive line of boutique-style apparel is offered through Independent Fashion Stylists like me who sell online and at in-home Trunk Shows. Sneak Peaks - Upcoming Elmo Party

It's been awhile since I've blogged! Life has been very busy! Thank you for all the inquiries, emails and comments. I appreciate all of them!

I am in the middle of planning my younger daughter's 2nd birthday party. I usually try to shy away from characters but my daughter just LOVES Elmo. When I saw this girly Elmo party from Hostess with the Mostess, I decided I HAD to do one and and this party is definitely my inspiration! I love all the details especially the ever popular chevron pattern.

Here's a few things that I've been working on and have gathered already.

Super Cute Sesame Street sign. This is another item that made me want to go with this theme. It's so cute!! And can be re-purposed in the play room.

Next up - Fabric Flower cupcake toppers. Again, an item that I saw and decided I MUST have it. I was inspired by this picture on Paiges of Style.


After reading the tutorial, I decided that I was not up to the DIY task. Instead of doing them myself, I found a great vendor on Etsy called Leila's Flower Garden. I contacted Marwa and requested a custom order and she was more than accommodating! She was able to match my color theme and she event sent me some pictures. Aren't they adorable!!





Leila's Flower Garden was a pleasure to work with and they were super fast! Another item I can check off my list!

{Real Parties}Hot Pink and Turquoise First Birthday Party

This post is looonnggg overdue! It's from back in May and it's my daughter's first birthday party. The theme was inspired by an invitation designed by Anders Ruff. The saying on the invite was “My Oh My, How the First Year Flew By.” Some of the decor was inspired by Kara (of Kara's Party Ideas) Bunco party.

I wound up concentrating more on the colors (hot pink and turquoise) than the actual theme because of time constraints. I had a ton of other “themey” things planned that I was not able to get to. The party’s main attractions were the 2 dessert tables I set up and the décor . I created a balloon wreath for the front door, party printables (inspired by The TomKat Studio) and little felt birdies (tutorial on Bird’s Party). For all the other items I used amazing vendors such as Sweeties by Kim and other vendors listed at the bottom of the post. I had a lot of fun planning it and executing it and I am already thinking about her 2nd birthday!
