Finally Finished the Christening Centerpieces - Ribbon Topiaries!!!!

Thank goodness I only needed to make 4.  They were REALLY easy to make, just time consuming.

Custom Table Tutus

Awhile ago I stumbled upon SweetsIndeed on Etsy.  I saw her custom tutu table and I was smitten.  I REALLY wanted one!  I contacted Marie (who was really nice, by the way) and she priced one out for me.  I decided against it only because I already blew my budget for the party I was planning, but I still think about it.  Eventually I will wind up getting one.  They are just darling and with 2 girls - I see lots of opportunities to use it. :)

Check out these gorgeous table tutus from SweetsIndeed:

Layers upon layers of beautiful tulle...

I love it. I want it. I must have one!!!

Getting there....

Slowly but surely the dessert table is coming together.  I just started my signage the other night and I have to say I LOVE IT!!  I ordered printables from Posh Pixels.  The signs really tie everything together.  Here's a sneak peek!

Can we talk Etsy?

Etsy is my addiction. I. LOVE. ETSY.  Whether it's for party goods, clothing or accessories, it's my go-to site.  If you've never heard of Etsy - you need to check it out NOW!!!!  Think Ebay but cooler, and handmade.  You can find everything under the sun and more.  I have worked with great vendors and not so great vendors, but here are a few of my favorites!

AndJane - I buy so many bows for my daughters in this shop. They are high quality and fast!
Candice n Katie's Art - I needed a place to store all of the bows and stumbled upon this lovely shop.Check out their profile too - such an inspiring story.
Posh Pixels - for all of your graphic needs.  Kristy is so talented and super sweet too!
A Dash of Color  - I just used them the first time for tissue poms.  Perfection!

Who are your favorite Etsy sellers?

Some Sneak Peaks!

Lats night I hung the white sheet panels as the backdrop for the dessert table and I hung the tissue pom poms!  I think they really make the space.  They are adorable and were so easy.  Well, I didn't actually make them, I just spead the tissue paper, but I may attempt making my own in the future.  I got them on Etsy from A Dash of Color.  They come in a ton of colors and the shipping was really fast!

What do you think so far???

Our next BIG vacation is booked! Disney here we come!!!

We have been thinking about our next vacation for some time now.  At first we were going to go to Beaches Turks & Caicos but then we changed our minds and were smitten by Walt Disney World.  The girls should love it!  I'll probably need a vacation when we get back but, I am pretty excited to share this experience with them.  And my husband is super excited too because he's finally staying at a hotel with the monorail!!  We decided on the Grand Floridian.

Not too shabby, huh?

The trip isn't until next May, so any tips or recommendations are appreciated!

Slowly but surely, it's getting there!

My husband is definitely going to think I am nuts!  Yesterday during my lunch hour I went to Bed Bath & Beyond and bought some white sheer panels to hang behind the dessert bar.  Today I went home for lunch and took down my existing curtains. I'll have to iron the sheers tonight and with any luck, DH will help me hang them!

Here's sneak peek at some of the stuff I have:

These plates are from Home Goods!  I got a ton from the collection.  Each piece was $12.99 or less.  I've started replacing the black ribbon with pink ribbon.  That's the great thing about this collection - it goes with everything and you can really tailor them to your theme.

Some old Apothecary jars I had.  I think they are from Bed Bath and Beyond from 2 years ago.

My first post

This is my first post, how exciting!

I'm currently in the process of planning 2 parties!  The first one is my younger daughter's Christening party and the other is my older daughter's 3rd birthday party.  The Christening party is at our home and the pressure is on! We're having about 40 adults and 15 kids.  Please pray for no rain!!

I'm attempting my first dessert table a la Amy Atlas. I have been planning it for months.  It's a lot harder than I thought and more expensive than I imagined.  BUT - if it's a success, I see lots of dessert tables in our future!

The theme of the party is pink and white zebra.  I was inspired by these really cute napkin rings I saw on Etsy (Etsy's been my addition for months!!) .  I've ordered a bunch of printables from Posh Pixels Design Studio and now  am in the process of getting everything put together.

More to come.....
